Pastor BIO

Rev. Wright is a born-again Christian residing in Graniteville, SC.

She was reared, along with one sister and four brothers by their mother, Mrs. Dorothy Brunson of Ridge Spring, SC. She is married to Brother Louis Wright. They are the parents of three daughters, Aisha Smith Fichter (Chad) of Charleston, SC, the late Monika Wright and the late Camille Wright-Sims. They are the grandparents of two granddaughters, Ava and Mia Sims and two grandsons, Tyrie and Joseph.

Rev. Wright is a graduate of the Ridge Spring-Monetta High School, Monetta, SC.

She earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Voorhees College, Denmark, SC, a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from NOVA Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale FL, and she holds a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary, Due West, SC.

She is retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, Aiken, SC as Lead Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Specialist.  

She is a member and Pastor of the Calidonia Missionary Baptist Church of Batesburg, SC where she previously served as an usher, primary-age Sunday School and Bible Study teacher, teenage Sunday School and Bible Study teacher and Adult Sunday School and Bible Study teacher. She previously served as the Assistant and Interim Pastor of Calidonia.

Pastor Wright also previously served as:.

  • Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of SC District II President, and Chair of the Ecumenical Committee
  • President of the Ridge Hill Baptist Education Association (RHBEA) Woman’s Auxiliary.
  • Ridge Hill Education Association Nominating and Constitution Committees
She is currently serving in her local association as:
  • Vice-Moderator of the RHBEA Association
  • Chair of the Ridge Hill Education Association Women’s Auxiliary Program Committee
She also serves on the following committees in the State Convention:
  • Chair of the Resolution Committee of the Women’s Convention
  • Member of the Political Actions & Ecumenical Committees of the Woman’s Convention
  • Chair of the Women in Ministry Committee for the State Convention

Her favorite pastimes include studying the Word of God, spending time with family and friends, reading a good mystery novel and watching a good detective movie.
